History
On January 12, 2008, the Litterbug Patrol Alley Cleanup Day was organized as a community service event for Bessemer.
NeighborWorks® of Pueblo coordinated the efforts of the volunteers from the Rocky Mountain Synod Middle School Youth Gathering.
The City of Pueblo donated rakes, shovels, pitchforks for volunteers to use in their effort to rid the alleys of trash. The following week the City of Pueblo also provided trash pick up service.
The success of the event made it become an annual youth service event for the Rocky Mountain Synod Middle School Youth Gathering.
In 2010, the event expanded to 30 blocks and two shifts of 4 hours each. The designated blocks for trash removal were north of Northern Avenue to Summit Avenue and east of Cypress Street to Routt Avenue as well as north of Northern Avenue to Haven Place and east of Santa Fe Avenue to School Street.
NeighborWorks® of Pueblo appreciates the volunteer support received by the group and the City of Pueblo and looks forward to another successful event in 2011.

Each team is assigned a five-block section as their designated area to clean up.
